torrancememorial.org PULSE | 3 M A G A Z I N E DEAR READERS, Health care workers and others who provide care and comfort to patients are true heroes. They work in numerous capacities and positively impact the services received by our Torrance Memorial Medical Center patients and visitors. Our heroes may be bedside nurses, physicians or volunteers. In this issue of Pulse, you'll have the opportunity to read about heroes who save stroke patients like Delonna Hood from permanent disability. Heroes such as philanthropists Melanie and Richard Lundquist share their story about supporting our mission to bring the best possible care to the South Bay. Also in this issue, you'll learn about heroes Robert Ybarra and Eduardo Flores-Barraza, Torrance Memorial warehouse workers who courageously saved a man from a burning vehicle. Please enjoy this issue of Pulse and read about the inspiring people who support Torrance Memorial and our greater community.
