Golf Special Olympics Golf strives to provide individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to play and compete like any golfer. Those who play the game of golf are driven to become better players by experience. Each stroke motivates a golfer to continue the pursuit of better shots and lower scores. For players of any ability, the opportunity to compete provides the single most compelling reason to practice and improve. Over 100 athletes and Unified Partners train and compete in Special Olympics Delaware's golf program, which includes golf skills and 9-hole Unified alternate-shot play. Golfers train at clinics held at Hartefeld National Golf Club and Inniscrone Country Club, and play in outings on the Montchanin Golf Course at the DuPont Country Club. The 2011 Chapter Golf tournament was held at the beautiful Brandywine Country Club on September 27. Host site sponsor
