Technology redefines the edge of what is possible. In the 1960s, new dyes and fabrics were created by chemists resulting in the riot of vivid colors and patterns, which we have come to associate with the decade. From the 3D printing to computer imaging, each leap has far and lasting effects for Costume Designers. Our digital revolution, the immediacy of information transfer, and the ubiquity of social media have reshaped our world and the way we work. We spoke to this year's Emmy Nominees for Costume Design about technology, asking them what it has changed and what has remained untouched.
