VOICE YOUR VIEWS AEA Victory for Public School EmPloyEES This past spring, Arizona public school employees received refunds from the state and a reduction in their ASRS contribution rate. This extra money is a direct result of the AEA's legal and legislative victories in stopping Arizona's Way to fight for us Andrew, Doug, Jennifer, and whoever else I should thank! As a teacher NEA made an offer to join NEA Life for $25 a year for 10 years, I did. What a good deal. Over the years I've been a Delegate to 5 NEA Representative Assemblies. I chaired the Credentials committee and served on several AEA committees, I served two times as President of the Roosevelt CTA. In 1996 with the offer of a buyout I retired after 37 years of teaching in the Roosevelt School District in Phoenix. I'm now a Retired member that volunteers at one of my grandson's school.
