79 2016 WINTER GAMES Each winter, SODE athletes train hard to compete in snowshoeing, downhill and cross country skiing. In 2016, the SODE winter sports team competed at the Special Olympics Connecticut (SOCT) Winter Games. SOCT proudly hosted winter sports competitions at venues in the greater Hartford area on Saturday, February 27 and Sunday, February 28, 2016. A total of over 900 athletes from the tri-states participated, with more than 50 Special Olympics Delaware athletes competing. Our appreciation goes to all our families, volunteers and coaches - and a special thanks to volunteer Howard Keener who headed the delegation. 2015-2016
