127 One of the organization's largest grass-roots volunteer movements involves hundreds of thousands of law enforcement officers throughout the world volunteering their time to raise awareness and money for Special Olympics. In the 30-year history of Delaware Law Enforcement for Special Olympics, more than $6 million has been raised. The support of LESO includes the signature Law Enforcement Torch Run at Summer Games, and has expanded to include Ads Solicitation, Truck Convoy, Ride to the Tide and Dodgeball Madness. Law Enforcement also plays a vital supporting role at the Polar Bear Plunge and Over the Edge, as well as providing participants, numerous coaches and volunteers for our events and having a presence at all Special Olympics awards ceremonies, regardless of the size of the event.
