94  /  the tasting panel  /  january/february 2017 FEMALE LEADERS S outhern Glazer's Wine & Spirits of Southern California's Women in Wine celebrated the season at their fourth annual holiday dinner at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach. The evening was comprised of employees from all facets of the company, spotlighting an inspiring 2017 "goal board"and gifts donated to a local charity for children in need and featuring key guest speakers from various positions. They spoke about their individual journeys in the company and industry, offering words of encouragement, support, mentorship and collaboration. Katie Tripp, Chain Sales Director for the Transatlantic Division, focused on the importance of balanc- ing your career with your personal life and prioritizing your time. "This group gives us the opportunity to bounce ideas off each other. We can share ideas and helpful hints on how to be a successful employee, spouse, mother and coworker."
