98  /  the tasting panel  /  january/february 2017 MIXOLOGY AT THE NAPA VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL GALA, A WORLD OF BEAM SUNTORY SPIRITS STORMED THE RED CARPET Miyagi oysters from Tomales Bay served as the perfect complement to Bowmore 12 Year Old Scotch Whisky at the Napa Valley Film Festival Gala at the Lincoln Theatre in Yountville. The oyster luge was adjacent to a Laphroaig Single Malt Scotch Whisky cocktail station, as part of an elaborate Scotch whisky setup in the event's VIP tent. Suntory Whisky Toki starred in the Toki Highball, a traditional Japanese cocktail made simply from 1½ oz.
