DEPARTMENT HEADER SLO BREW is Downtown San Luis Obispo's Beercation Central DOWNSTAIRS: SLO Brew Restaurant and Pub. Copper brewing kettles and brewing tanks adorn an expansive, well-appointed bar and dining room with indoor and outdoor seating on Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo's main downtown artery and creekside dining out back. UPSTAIRS: Urban lodging perched above SLO Brew: one, two and three bedrooms (love the four-poster oversized beds), completely furnished with user-friendly sensibility, complete with exposed brick, Douglas fir flooring and large hand-woven rugs. They are spacious accommodations with living room, dining-in kitchen and fireplaces. There's no front desk for check-in, but rather a pre-arranged set of instructions and in-room "guidebook." It is like staying at a good friend's apartment in the center of town—amidst the area's best restaurants and shops. Designed by Central Coast–based Celadon House, the interiors of the Lofts and SLO Brew are modern, comfortable and out of the ordinary: They are Tasting Panel Magazine recommended!
