JACKSON FAMILY WINES 90 Mi Sueño 2013 Chardonnay, Los Carneros ($42) From veteran winemaker Rolando Herrera, a densely styled cool-climate Chard with good acidity, balance and nice depth. 92 Chamisal 2014 Chamise Estate Chardonnay, Edna Valley ($60) Silky and smooth with restrained, elegant style and lovely fresh pear fruit; lightly spicy with depth and finesse; long and beautifully balanced. CRIMSON WINE GROUP 91 Silver Veil 2014 Zinfandel, Russian River Valley ($20) Dense and filled with spice and tangy acidity; rich, deep and balanced; complex and classic. WINE TREES 91 Anne Amie 2014 Winemaker's Selection Estate Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley ($25) From talented Oregon winemaker Thomas Houseman. Lush cherry fruit and juicy style; ripe and balanced with rich texture and fresh flavors. 92 Zenaida Cellars 2014 ZC Red, Paso Robles ($29) This Rhône-focused winery is in Paso's Templeton Gap area. Stylish and smooth with blackberry and spice; lovely texture and an intense finish. 50% Syrah, 30% Petit Sirah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. 93 Adelsheim Vineyard 2014 Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley ($32) This Willamette winner has a dense entry on the palate with ripe cherry and tangy acidity; beautifully balanced, crisp and elegant. 92 Tonti Family Reserve 2013 Old Vine Zinfandel, Russian River Valley ($50) Dark and deep; velvety, concentrated flavors of blackberry, cherry and spice; balanced and intense with great length and structure; impressive. 93 Epoch Estate Wines 2012 Ingenuity, Paso Robles ($65) Loaded with bright spice and complex notes of earth and pepper, this blend comes partially from a vineyard once owned by Polish pianist and Paso Robles enthusiast Ignacy Jan Paderwski. 58% Syrah, 18% Mourvèdre, 14% Grenache, 10% Petite Sirah.
