Campaign financed with the participation of European Union and Romania CHARDONNAY JIDVEI: FROM THE HEART OF TRANSYLVANIA These wines are available on the US market through: DANEX INTERNATIONAL www.danexinternational.com danexint@msn.com (818) 591-8566 · (818) 518-6750 Chardonnay 2014 DOC Tarnave-Jidvei A 100% Transylvanian Chardonnay: starting with the vines' grafting in Jidvei's own vine nursery, continuing with choosing the best sites in Tarnave vineyard and finishing with a winemaking process in which barrels from Transylvanian wood are used – both for the partial fermentation and for the maturation on lees - this Chardonnay is the true expression of its terroir. With its medium-to-full body and medium high acidity, it is a wine that can be enjoyed on its own for its nutty-citrus aromas, tropical notes and creamy finish, but is also a sommelier's dream due to its easy pairing with dishes based on fish, seafood and various meats. Chardonnay 2015 DOC Tarnave-Jidvei A wine with a perfect balance between acidity, alcohol and residual sugar, this Chardonnay is refreshing, but at the same rich in aromas due to its oak maturation. Although from a cool climate, its aromatic complexity, encompassing notes of citrus, tropical fruit and peach, is due to choosing only grapes from terraces situated at the middle of the slope who benefit from more sun exposure and longer ripening period. In the heart of Transylvania, with its 3000-years old history in winemaking, is the Tarnave-Jidvei wine region. The area's cool continental climate with dry summers and long autumns with foggy mornings and sunny afternoons is balanced in the vineyard by southern and southeastern exposure slopes. The two Tarnava rivers, that give the region its Denomination of Controlled Origin name, extend the ripening season and create the perfect microclimate for aromatic whites an d crisp roses.
