BACK TO SCHOOL | WEAnews 14 Green River EA NATRONA COUNTY EA Carbon County District #1Teachers EA Evanston EA Teton County EA Green River EA Sweetwater County EA Many locals around the state are visible during new teacher orientations and back- to-school events, where they can educate incoming educators about the Association and the benefits of becoming a member! Green River and Natrona County Education Associations both held BEWM Bazaars again this year. It was Green River's second and NCEA's third. BEWM—Because Education in Wyoming Matters—is the WEA Millennial group aimed at young-member engagement and recruiting and retaining Millennials in the WEA. Various BEWM locals have been holding bazaars in the past couple of years where new teachers can select teaching materials donated by veteran teachers. Experienced teachers felt that this event really helped them connect with the new teachers in their building, and it helped them make room for new curriculum materials in their classrooms. There was not a shortage of donated items! Several teachers answered the call to donate. Active and retired members helped with events. It truly takes everyone coming together to make an event like this happen. The new teachers who attended the event in early August saw many of the same faces at the start of school. These teachers were eager to chat and thank our members for the wonderful items they received at the bazaar. Several of the bazaar attendees became members of our association during orientation. BEWM Bazaars Stay Strong
