his past summer, about 50 members
participated in a training at AEA
headquarters in Phoenix about ensuring
professionalism in using social media. The
training was conducted by AEA General
Counsel Samantha Blevins. As public
school employees, educators are subject
to maintaining higher standards than
most. With more than 90% of Internet
users having access to view online social
media profiles, this session offered tips and
cautions to keep a positive reflection of
participants' social media side.
