Gotta drink em all! www.trophycocktail.com Elixir of Life Meet Randy Tarlow, bartender and the man behind Liquid Alchemist, a cocktail consulting company that also produces a line of non-alcoholic elixirs—perfect for your next cocktail creation. What made you decide to create a line of non-alcoholic elixirs? In 2008, I saw a lack of fresh and natural products avail- able for use in bars. Bartenders were spending excessive amounts of time having to crush and muddle to achieve flavor. I also saw many products in bars and retail stores loaded with artificial flavor and coloring. My goal was to offer natural products with excellent shelf stability. How do you envision bartenders using these products? Bartenders of all skill levels can make craft cocktails in half the steps. Liquid Alchemist products truly shine in classic cocktails. Trends are always changing in the world of mixology. How do you stay on top of the trends? I listen to my customers . . . what they enjoy and what they would like to drink. In order to keep my drink programs fresh and exciting, I use my imagination when exploring for new ingredients to use in cocktails. Consistent R&D is essential to staying on top of trends. www.liquid-alchemist.com
