"It's a kind of take on the Gin and Tonic with a refreshing spritz," he said, adding, "Of course, the Mule is on fire in America and this is a drink we really want to own." At Chapter One: The Modern Local in Santa Ana, CA, Bar Manager Joseph Sanchez agrees that Mule variations are hot for spring and summer: "We're really known for our Moscow Mules—they've had a huge resurgence. So with any spirits, there are a ton of options out there," But his current choice is a Mule featuring Chase's elderflower liqueur for its purity of essence and natural flavor. "We chose the Elderflower to balance out the ginger root—it complements it very well. The viscosity isn't as much—it's not as syrupy as some of the others—you can feel the quality through and through, and we appreciate and respect that." Chase Moscow Mule ½ oz. fresh lime juice ½ oz. Chase Elderflower Liqueur 2 oz. Chase Potato Vodka 6 oz. Chapter One house-made ginger beer Place lime juice and liquors in copper cup and fill with ice. Carbonate ginger beer and fill cup. Stir with bar spoon. Garnish with lime wedge. Chase Vodka is distilled in the heart of the English countryside by fourth- and fifth-generation family farmers.
