ISEA Communiqué • isea.org April/May 2016 5 CINDY'S CORNER The 2016 Ross Trust Symposium for ISEA Member School Counselors on November 6th at Prairie Meadows Conference Center in Altoona, Iowa, is shaping up to be an AMAZING experience with one of the most sought-after speakers and trainers in the world! Rosalind Wiseman is an internationally recognized expert on children, teens, parenting, bullying, social justice, and ethical leadership. She is the author of "Queen Bees and Wannabes" and "Queen Bee Moms and Kingpin Dads" has presented to such professional organizations such as the National Education Association and the American School Counselor's Association. On November 6th, school counselors will spend time in an intimate setting with Rosalind and experience all-day, hands- on training with her and take home their own "Owning Up" curriculum. For years, Iowa State Education Association School Counselor members have benefited from professional development learning opportunities funded through the Roland and Dorothy Ross Trust. This program is in memory of Roland and Dorothy Ross, former Iowa State Education Association members, for the benefit of current Iowa State Education Association members who are engaged in professional school counseling in an Iowa public school primarily in a secondary school program. Counselors should watch for email registration information email soon and on the ISEA Academy website to take advantage of this great opportunity. It is free of charge. This program is being held adjacent to the Iowa School Counselor Association Annual Conference occurring Monday, November 7th where Rosalind Wiseman will be the Keynote Speaker.
