Mouth- filling and balanced with a long, almost savory mineral finish. Yealands Estate 2014 Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, Awatere Valley– Marlborough ($25) A blend of four different Seaview blocks (two warmer inland, two cooler coastal), the wine is ripe, round and layered with pure guava fruit and gooseberry, green herbs and blackcur - rant leaf. Textured and elegant with lingering citrus flavors and saline minerality. Liquid crystal! Yealands Estate 2014 S1 Single Block Sauvignon Blanc ($30) Produced from grapes grown on an inland plateau 160 meters above sea level, this wine is leaner and racier than the Single Vineyard, with crisp citrus, gooseberry and herbal notes blazing along a vein of searing acidity and flint. Peter Yealands 2014 Pinot Gris ($15) At first discreet and shy, this estate-grown Pinot Gris opens to unveil pretty aromas of orchard fruit, dried honey, and almond milk. Soft, round and refreshing with juicy pear drop and peach flavors finish - ing with a drop of honeysuckle nectar. Peter Yealands 2014 Pinot Noir, Marlborough ($19) Light and breezy with dusty cherry, pomegranate and earthy loam notes. The silky, juicy texture is balanced by a sprinkle of fine minerals and refreshing, refined finish. Yealands Estate 2014 Single Vineyard Pinot Noir ($35) Rich and ripe with an elegantly smooth yet fleshy texture. Luscious notes of black cherry, pomegranate, violet, black tea and sweet oak are pillowed on an opulent str ucture of velvety tannins and a dark mineral core.
