It's no wonder they have received 34 Emmy nominations and five Emmy wins, an Art Directors Guild Award for the 2006 Emmy Awards, four Art Directors Guild nominations and numerous other honors. That shimmering effect would not be possible without Lighting Designer Jeffrey Engel, who coordinates his work with the production design team for the ultimate overall appearance. Engel is an Emmy winner and 24-time Emmy nominee for projects such as the 63rd and 64th Academy Awards. He also has led the lighting design for eight Miss America pageants. His designs treat the movements and colors of the illuminations like instruments in an orchestra. The actual music, on the other hand, is under the baton of Musical Director Thomas Caffey. This is his second year with the SAG Awards, an addition to his extensive list of projects that also includes composing several pieces of music for the NASA documentary about the space shuttle Endeavor's historic trip to the California Science Center, the feature MICHAEL BUCKNER/WIREIMAGE B E H I N D T H E S C E N E S From left, SAG Awards Committee Vice Chair Daryl Anderson, SAG Awards Executive Producer Kathy Connell, SAG Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams, and SAG Awards Committee members Woody Schultz and Jason George.
