This Year's Nominated Stunt Ensembles in Film and Television F I L M T E L E V I S I O N The spotlight will shine on these unseen heroes of film and television during the red carpet preshow at the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® on Jan. 30, 2016. Tune in online at sagawards.tntdrama.com, sagawards.org or people.com beginning at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET. Reflecting the collaborative nature of stunt performances, these capable professionals are honored in two categories: Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series. The nominees were revealed Dec. 9, and this year's selections represent some of the most pulse-pounding action to be seen on the big or small screen, including the return of last year's TV series honoree, Game of Thrones. "I have always had great respect for stunt performers," said SAG-AFTRA President Ken Howard. "Without the expertise of these highly trained men and women, a lot of stories simply couldn't be told onscreen. I am perpetually in awe of the dedication these professionals have to their craft." T hey put the whoosh, bang and pow into the films and television shows we all enjoy. They are SAG-AFTRA's talented stunt performers, who risk it all to give us a thrill. Whether it's crashing a car or jumping off a building, it's all in a day's work. SAGAFTRA.org | Special Issue 2016 | SAG-AFTRA 32
