It was an invaluable opportunity for all classifications of broadcast members from various stations across the local to have an open discussion about common issues. The committee is focused on the President's Task Force theme of "Education, Outreach and Engagement" and is working on several related projects for rollout in 2016. In light of recent events, the committee has set forth an initiative to facilitate dialogue, awareness and training on safety issues that affect the local's broadcast community. In the coming months, the committee will also explore the issues of workload and the effects of technological changes on the job, as well as emphasizing broadcast leadership training and new member education and outreach.
