Involvement Starts with You!
A
t the national convention, President Ken Howard and the union's
other top officers urged delegates to take ownership of their union;
the union's strength depends on how involved members are. Every one of
us with a SAG-AFTRA card has something to contribute. Even if you don't
work the interactive or commercials agreements, or you aren't a singer,
it's important that all members support each other in efforts that target
these areas. Here are some ways you can make a difference:
Show your card and share your story. Upload your
photos and videos at sagaftra.org/mystory. Also tweet
them and tag @sagaftra #sagaftramember #mystory
Join the Digital Ads Go Union campaign targeting agencies like
Droga5. Sign on at sagaftra.org/digital-ads-go-union and post
the link on social media using #sagaftramember #adsgounion.
Support members working the Interactive Media
Agreement. Post your support on social media with the
hashtags #performancematters and #iAmOnBoard2015.
Sign up for updates at sagaftra.org/interactive.
Pledge 10 hours of mentoring in the arts before Dec. 31, 2015.
Start an A Call to Arts account online at sagaftra.org/acalltoarts.
Support the Fair Play Fair Pay Act of 2015. Make sure SAG-AFTRA
recording artists get fair pay on all platforms. Join the action at
musicfirstcoalition.org to send a message to your representatives.
