"The 18 Year Old is aged in charred oak, and can be enjoyed like bourbon in a snifter. It's fantastic for after dinner, the perfect sipping spirit." If Rum Malecon 18 Year Old is the mature, dignified spirit, then Rum Malecon 10 Year Old is its playful younger sibling. Nemati showcased the 10 Year Old in a play on a classic Mojito, adding wild cherries to brighten the flavor and color of the cocktail. "The 10 Year Old has ideal characteristics for a Mojito," said Nemati, "and because of the barrel aging, you can use Rum Malecon for typically whiskey- or brandy-based drinks, like a Sidecar or Old Fashioned."—Jesse Hom-Dawson Anthony Houman Nemati, owner of Kravings in Tarzana, CA.
