Offhollywood embraces the Web T witter is all about who you follow. The great thing is — if there's someone you really like following/or who's opinion you respect — you can look at their Twitter profile and see who they follow. I follow a mix of technology and film folks — and I try to retweet anything I like from my feed. I love using the Flipboard app on the iPad — which basically turns my Twitter feed into a magazine (pic- tured right), with video and photos. I also like the TweetDeck app for my laptop — it makes columns — so you can pick a trend (#) and see anything that anyone posts with that hashtag. I tweet updates about our company, Offhollywood, and any news that's posted about projects that we support or have worked on — but I also try to make my Twitter feed a resource for folks interested in new tech trends in digital cinema — specifically 4K and 3D, which is our focus. Why the expansion into content provider? "These days anybody and their brother could offer post services anywhere, so you differen- tiate yourself. People keep saying, 'in this economy,' Well, this is what you have to get used to because it's going to be around for a while, so if you can't make it in this economy today you're screwed for the future. I am using Twitter and social media for now, pro- moting that, and as we make that move we will launch Twitter accounts, Websites and Facebook pages for all of these new shows." Biscardi is also active on LinkedIn, Adobe and Avid forums, the Georgia Production Partnership, and even created Atlanta Cut- ters, the new Atlanta Post Production User Group. "With social media you have to car- pet bomb for lack of a better term. You can't just go with one." He says it's all about sharing informa- tion. "Don't slam people, just share infor- mation and make the industry, and world, a better place."
