Stephanie continued that her son was into trouble on the playground, but Liz re-taught him how to behave and interact in that playground police," Stephanie joked. Another example Stephanie shared about Cooper's progress was a story about: glue. Cooper using too much, as a lot of kids do. "Here's how Liz re-taught him," Stephanie said, "'It's knows how to reach those visual learners." Even today, Stephanie tears up telling stories under Liz's direction and help. Education support professionals can often go overlooked in schools, but they obviously educating the whole child. In Liz's case, we're all glad she didn't get overlooked, and so Cooper himself. The Education Support Professional of the Year Award recognizes a member whose activities contributions of the education support professionals to public education.
