Thursday May 28, 2015 1L30-3:00 $50 With Brian McClintic, MS (Les Marchands Wine Bar and Merchant), acting as moderator, this panel will explore the age-old questions regarding various oaking regimens, and well as concrete and stainless steel fermentation and their effect on flavors and textures. Panelists will include winemakers Christian Roguenant (Niven Family portfolio); Dieter Cronje (Presqu'ile); Peter Molnar (Tricycle Wine Partners); Karl Wente (Wente Family Estates); and Ray Brown (Clos de Chacras). The Fashion of Chardonnay Friday, May 29 10:00-11:30 $50 Moderated by Nicholas Miller (VP of Sales and Marketing, Bien Nacido Vineyards), this panel will discuss and debate terroir and vineyard practices that are helping the pliable Chardonnay grape find its voice. Panelists will include winemakers Brian Talley (Talley Vineyards); Michael Eckstein (Grgich Hills); J. Wilkes (Bien Nacido Vineyards); and Katy Madigan (St. Francis). Diversity in Balance: Pairing Chardonnay with Food Saturday May 30 10:00-12:30 $125 Moderated by Bob Bath, Master Sommelier and Wine Professor at the Culinary Institute of America, Greystone, this panel will evaluate components such as minerality and acidity pair with complex of unusual cuisines. Lunch will be served so we can decide for ourselves what to do with those rich and buttery Chards.
