The AES show in New York this month offers a great opportunity to re-connect with your favorite companies and to discover new compa- nies and products as well.
This year, a big focus is on metering and con- trolling loudness. Different companies offer differ- ent solutions for loudness problems. Be sure to check Grimm Audio and its LevelNorm plug-in, and TC Electronic's LM5D and AM6 plug-ins. Another concern for the audio post industry is noisy tracks. The Cedar Audio Limited DNS One plug-in and the iZotope RX2 and RX2 Advanced plug-ins provide "in the box" noise removal options that fit a variety of budgets.
