Reynolds was chosen not only for her memorable performances in Singin' in the Rain and The Unsinkable Molly Brown, but also for work off-screen to raise awareness of mental illness issues (see page 55). Since its debut in 1995, the brisk, two-hour awards show has honored the very best in dramatic and comedic performances on television and in film. Receiving The Actor ® statuette is truly a special honor for the chosen performers. That's because F or SAG-AFTRA members, Jan. 25 is going to be the most glamorous evening of the year. A celebration of some of the greatest and most high-profile work performed by members, the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® promises to be the best yet. 1.
