Cross and Joftus is the consultant firm hired by the Legislature to solicit input from numerous Wyoming stakeholder groups and individuals on this interim study topic. SBE's responses will be considered along with others from the public and from representatives of such groups as WEA, the school boards', principals', superintendents', and curriculum directors associations, and many more. The consultants will be reporting some initial findings of their study to the Joint Education Committee in late September. The SBE will meet again on Oct. 9 in Riverton, followed by a retreat at Ucross in November. become an appointed position rather than elected, though opinions were divided as to who should be the appointing body. The final report from the consultants is due in November. The next JEC meeting will be held October 23 in Casper. JEC
