At Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop (left to right) waiter Sal Licciardi, Manager Cherie Boos (who also owns My Bar @ 635 Night Club) and “Firefly Guy” Scott Newitt. inco de Mayo, New Orleans, 7 p.m. The evening descends in painted sunlight and the din of excited tourists cascading onto the balcony of My Bar @ 635 Night Club. As the rising tide of expectant humanity floods legendary Bourbon Street, three amigos stride the pavement, negotiating the crowd with bags of swag and go- cups filled with Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka. Their enviable mission: to bar-crawl the French Quarter between My Bar @ 635, Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop, The Front of the Dungeon and Molly’s on Toulouse. They will strike like commandos, quickly but not-so-silently, buying rounds of Firefly Sweet and Skinny Teas for the patrons while presenting them with like-branded merch.
