people JENNIFER DEAN Editor Jennifer Dean has joined the White- house New York after 11 years at Lost Planet, where she worked on commercials,music videos, short films and documentaries. Her recent work for Cotton, featuring Zooey Deschanel, Miranda Lambert, Leona Lewis and Kate Bosworth, al- lowed her to combine her love of fashion and music. She also recently worked on a brand piece for The New York Times. DEAN CHUCK SILBER San Antonio’s NewTek has promoted Chuck Silber to COO and a member of the board of directors. Silber was previously the senior VP of sales at the company. In his new role, Silber will oversee all customer contact departments, includ- ing sales, marketing, strategic development, con- tent development, and customer and support ser- vices. Prior to his time at NewTek, Silber was VP of sales at Avid, managing its Americas direct and channel sales efforts, as well as its professional ser- vices organization. SILBER MARIA PAPPALARDO Veteran voice casting director Maria Pap- palardo has joined audio house Sonic Union in New York. She will screen talent for television, film,Web and radio out of the company’s newly- built recording space and lounge. Pappalardo has been operating independently out of Sonic Union’s studio for the past year. She previously served as BBDO, NY’s head of voiceover casting for 15 years. PAPPALARDO DAN LOVE Dan Love has joined the UK’s Unit as senior producer. He comes to the facility, which recently moved into new space in Soho, from Golden Square, where he was head of production for the past three years. Love has deep commercial pro- duction experience, having worked on projects for Stella Artois, Ford, Sky and Lucozade. He’s also worked on music videos for Placebo, Lilly Allen and TakeThat. DENNIS GO Dennis Go has re-joined production com- pany/design house Brand New School as the East Coast studio’s design director. Brand New School has locations in New York, London and LA. MARCELO BURGOS Argentinean director Marcelo Burgos has joined the Believe Media family, where he will be represented by the company’s UK office. Based in Spain for the past 13 years, Burgos began his ca- reer with Ogilvy Buenos Aires in the 1990s, and went on to work with several agencies, including Y&R Buenos Aires, BDDP Madrid,Vega Olmos Ponce and Remo, in Spain. His recent work in- cludes a spot for PlayStation 3 that reinforces the product’s “Live in a state of play” tagline. AMY HULL, BARRY SONDERS Multi-disciplined production hub Bullet HULL ( has added Amy Hull as to its team as managing director and Barry Sonders as producer. Hull is an experienced commercial producer who co-founded the production ser- vices company Beaucoup Chapeaux, New York. There, she worked directly with creative ad agen- cies, handling every aspect of projects, from pre- production through post. Sonders joins Bullet following three years as a producer for the Rochester, NY-based Partners & Napier, whose accounts include Kodak, UPS and Bausch + Lomb. He has also produced spots for British Airways, Dell and Keystone Beer. Bullet’s re- cent work includes a multimedia campaign for Hangar One Vodka, the Science Fair spot for Google, and State Farm’s Hot Tub ad. MORGENROTH ROB MORGENROTH Dynasty Visual Effects & Animation in Sherman Oaks, CA, has hired VFX veteran Rob Morgenroth as executive producer/senior direc- tor of business development. He will work to ex- pand the client base for Dynasty’s newly-launched outsourcing operation in China. Morgenroth joins Dynasty FX from the VES, where he served as di- rector of development. He is currently serving as chairman of the program committee for the Previs Society.
