By Wendy Strgar M ost often the term "organic" applies to food, not sex- ual appetite. To be labeled organic, food must be pro- duced without any chemicals and rely on soil, clean air, decent weather and organic soil enrichment. The more we learn about the farming practices of chemical-driven industrial farms, the more we want the real stuff—food that comes from nature—and willingly pay more for it. Meeting the needs of the human sexual appetite is also a multi-billion dollar industry. Like the endless genetically altered rows of corn grown on industrial farms, the sex crop includes millions of cheap porn DVDs, all clipped and re-clipped from the standard sets of bioengineered, overly large-breasted, tum- my-tucked women and engorged male sexual organs. This is available any time, day or night, and is more lucrative than all the big technology companies combined. But I still believe most of us put a higher value on real, or- ganic sex, the kind you can feel change you from the inside out. This rare breed of intimacy is the one we sing and write movie scripts about; it's the kind of sex that grows out of a relationship in which you are as deeply connected in life as in the bedroom. As with plants, growing intimate relationships that have the potential for organic orgasms requires a healthy ecosystem. In this ecosystem I like the metaphor of fi re—nature's energetic equivalent to our sexuality—to describe the intensity of physi- cal intimacy. Fire is the energy of life providing light, heat and the ability to transform the physical world. Fire in intimacy is the force of attraction that keeps relationships dynamic and whole. Any accomplished gardener will tell you it's the quality of the soil that makes a crop fl ourish or languish. So it is in a re- lationship. Couples who focus on healthy thoughts, compost with care and root out stubborn weeds will have more success in every aspect of their relationship, including orgasms. There's nothing to feed a fi re on barren land. Without light and air, the best soil in the world will be un- productive. The air in relationships rests in the communication A nurtured relationship creates a bumper crop GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM sex talk GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM GROWING AN ORGANIC ORGASM 14 wholelifetimesmagazine.com FINAL-WLT-APRIL-MAY.indd 14 3/30/14 7:58 PM
