The com- pany had released a Mac version last July. BulletProof is designed for use by productions that shoot with DSLR or GoPro cameras. The tool allows the user to get media to the editor quickly by providing functions for offloading, backup, organizing, review, color, and delivery. BulletProof is available as standalone product for $199, or as a part of Shooter Suite 12.3 ($399). Shooter Suite 12.3 also includes PluralEyes 3.3.1, LUT Buddy, Instant HD and Frames. Sony updates low-cost editing app M IDDLETON, WI — Sony Creative Software (www.sonycreativesoftware.- com) has upgraded its low-cost editing application. Studio 13 Platinum is geared toward independent filmmakers and provides a streamlined workflow, touch-enabled editing, 4K (ultra HD) file support, and a wide range of video and audio effects. Users can choose from between two distinct editing modes, as well as match colors from multiple scenes. Files can be easily uploaded directly to Facebook or YouTube. The Movie Studio 13 Suite has also been updated with the newest version of Movie Studio 13 Platinum. In addition to Movie Studio 13 Platinum soft- ware, the Suite features DVD Architect Studio 5, Sound Forge Audio Studio 10, Acid Music Studio 10, iZotope Vocal Eraser technology, video effects units by BorisFX, HitFilm 2 Ultimate video plug-ins from FXHOME, 3D titling and video effects by NewBlueFX, 50 Sony Sound Series: Production Music audio tracks, and comprehensive Jump Start training tutorials. Lightning-connected mic for iOS devices R ONKONKOMA, NY — Zoom North America (www.zoom-na. com) recently released the iQ5 stereo microphone, a Lightning- connected, mid-side stereo microphone that works with many iOS devices. The iQ5 has two microphone elements in a mid-side con- figuration, with portrait or landscape recording modes. Additionally, the mic capsule can be rotated to make sure it's always facing the most accurate direction. The unit offers 16-bit/44.1kHz recording with an analog-type mic gain wheel for precision adjustment of the input level. A USB port allows for charging, and a headphone jack allows for private monitor- ing. Zoom also offers the free companion Handy Recorder app, which turns an iOS device into a fully-featured field recorder, with EQ, editing, and effects capabilities. Priced at $99.99, the iQ5 works with Apple's iPhone 5 (or later), iPod Touch (5th gen or later), iPad (4th gen or later), or iPad mini running iOS 6 or newer. New JBL subwoofer completes 3 Series S TAMFORD, CT — Harman's JBL Professional (www.jblpro.com) has introduced the LSR310S powered studio subwoofer, which is optimized for use with the company's 3 Series studio monitors. The first studio monitors to incorporate JBL's Image Control Waveguide, the 3 Series provide high accuracy, imaging and detail at an affordable price point. The new LSR310S subwoofer rounds out the series and extends the low- frequency response of the sys- tem into the 20Hz range. Driv- en by an integrated 200 Watt Class D power amplifier, a new 10-inch excursion woofer works in concert with JBL's Slip Stream Port, delivering low-frequency response below 27Hz, with a peak output of 113dB SPL. The LSR310S is designed to integrate into a broad range of applications and features balanced XLR and ¼-inch inputs, a select- able input sensitivity switch and three crossover settings: 80Hz, XLF and External. Pric- ing is $499.
