Editing houses and editing software developers display a positive outlook on the business today and in the year ahead, forecasting growth and a new roster of clients. Editors are increasingly valued for their creativity and storytelling capabilities across platforms and cite low barriers to entry and an influx of young talent. At the same time, budgets and schedules are tighter than ever, fueling the need for more efficient workflows. But opportunities abound with increased mobile delivery, the diversity of content requiring editorial services — from art installations to experiential projects — and new business models such as working direct with clients. with a lot of different experience — art installations, digital content, features. THREATS: "I think everyone in the industry agrees that compressed budgets and schedules are threats all the way through the process, from creative to finishing. Successful companies make the most of every opportunity they're given." OPPORTUNITIES: "Our biggest opportunities come from the diversity of our services, talent, backgrounds and experiences. We have grown because we need to serve our client base. It's kind of a cliché — build it and they will come. We're doing more finishing and fastturnaround projects.
