A Unique and Beautiful Gift IF YOU'RE IN THE MARKET FOR A UNIQUE AND memorable holiday gift, The Macallan has come up with a spectacular package that incorporates rare single malt scotch and great photography in a stunning, limited edition. For several years, The Macallan has partnered with world-famous photographers to create exceptional gift opportunities. This year they have teamed with legendary 85-year-old portraitist Elliott Erwitt. The artist, who was responsible for the famous shot of Marilyn Monroe having her skirt blown by a subway grating as well as the "Kitchen debate" featuring President Richard Nixon and Nikita Khrushchev, was commissioned to create a sweeping impression of Scotland. Erwitt's evocative pictures have been bound into a one-of-a-kind book that also contains a flask of one of 58 single barrel whiskies. In addition to the rare malt and the book, each package includes a signed print by Erwitt. Just 35 boxes of each of the whiskies are available, making 2,030 altogether. Each box retails for $1,500. 94 Laphroaig Cairdeas Port Wood Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Scotland ($76) Reddish amber color; intense aroma of a peat fire; smooth, smoky peat with ripe citrus and some floral notes; intense and characteristic with a long, complex flavor of spices and always, above all, smoke; creamy, fleshy notes; long and a great iteration of the assertive house style.
