THE MESSAGE Whether THE TASTING PANEL goes to the brand execs or the brands call us, there is an abundance of news to report, from the latest releases to behind-the-scenes experiences with some of the world's most influential importers, winemakers, distillers . . . well, you name it. Brief Encounters We may not have enough pages in each issue to devote as much attention as we would like to each person whose path we cross, but please note that if it's in the publication, we deem it noteworthy —Meridith May, Publisher & Executive Editor Purity Wins Again P urity Vodka, the world's most awarded ultrapremium vodka, received top-honors at The 2013 Spirits Business Vodka Masters competitions, announced in Cannes, France in late October. Spirits Masters is a series of competitions in which medals are awarded based on blind tastings by a panel of leading spirits experts and trade journalists.  Once again distinguishing itself among an impressive field of brands, Purity Vodka was awarded three highly prestigious Masters Awards in the Super-Premium, Smooth and Micro Distillery categories, and received a Gold Medal in the Organic category at the Vodka Masters. Additionally, Purity Vodka received high marks across all categories at the 2013 Asian Spirits Masters and garnered the competition's top prize as the "Best Vodka and Overall Spirit." And to complete an incredible day, Purity Vodka was also awarded a Masters Medal in the Vodka category at the Travel Retail Masters Awards, amid fierce competition.
