LOCAL T he New York Local is getting a new home. Its two current Madison Avenue offices will be moving to a single location at 1900 Broadway (63rd Street), right across from Lincoln Center. The space will be completely new, designed to suit the specific needs of the union. There will be a state-of-the-art member lounge, larger conference rooms for board and committee meetings, and classrooms for conservatory and foundation events. New York Local Executive Director Jae Je Simmons commented, "I am delighted that the New York Local will now have a unified office space for members and staff. It makes sense both practically and financially, not to mention psychologically. And to be right across the street from one of most famous performing arts centers in the world just seems perfect." The new office is expected to open in early 2014. CASTS CELEBRATED AT ANNUAL BOWLING PARTY New York On April 21, SAG-AFTRA, SAGIndie and the Tribeca Film Festival presented its sixth annual cast party at Bowlmor Lanes in Union Square.
