people COLE CURRIE CLEMENTS BARRY GOCH, DAVE COLE Modern VideoFilm's Santa Monica DI facility has hired Barry Goch as DI editor. He has already contributed to Game of Thrones Season 3, the feature WER, and the HBO documentary, Manhunt: The Search for Bin Laden. Goch is also a contributor to Post Magazine, recently reviewing Smoke 2013 and Mocha Pro. His previous credits include Dallas, Season 1; Longmire, Season 1; and Falling Skies, Season 1. Dave Cole has also joined Modern VideoFilm, as supervising digital dolorist. He began his career in 1996 in the telecine department of Australia's AAV Digital Pictures. In 2001, Cole joined The Post House in Wellington, New Zealand, as a lead digital colorist on Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring. In 2004, Cole joined Weta Digital, setting up and leading the DI division for Peter Jackson's King Kong. He joined LaserPacific in 2006 and since that time has graded such films as: Tron: Legacy, Pride and Glory, Alvin and the Chipmunks 1-3, The Ides of March, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Life of Pi. KRISTY MAY CURRIE Kristy May Currie has joined London's Rushes as executive producer, focusing on developing the sales and business strategy, strengthening existing client relationships and building new ones. She started her career in post in Sydney at Frame Set & Match. She moved to London in 2004, her 15-year career spanning agencies, production companies and post houses, spread across the disciplines of film, spots, live television and broadcast. MIKE CLEMENTS LA's Bento Box Entertainment, a television animation studio, has hired Mike Clements, who will head the company's newly formed creative development and original programing division. He will oversee the development of new animation programming for the studio, which will range from traditional hand-drawn and digital 2D; CG/3D animation; puppets; stop motion; and live-action animation hybrids. Clements spent 14 years as a network comedy executive, including time at Fox, The WB Network and eight years as president of Good Humor TV, where he was executive producer of the animated comedy series The Life & Times of Tim for HBO and Good Vibes for MTV. PLEW Blessing FIKE RYAN HOPE Director Ryan Hope has joined LA's The Directors Bureau for commercial and music video representation in the US. Hope was recently nominated for Director of the Year at the MVPA Awards. His music video work includes the popular video for George Michael's White Lights, starring Kate Moss, as well as videos for Wiz Khalifa feat. The Weeknd, Bombay Bicycle Club, Mona and Alpines. Beyond music videos, Hope was commissioned to the create the first River Island fashion film as well as the art documentary, Skin for international tastemaker Dasha Zhukova's Garage Magazine. Charles Blessing Nugen Audio in Leeds UK, creator of tools for audio pros, has promoted of Charles Blessing to chief technology officer. In his new position, Blessing will take on all strategic and operational responsibility for the technology of the company. Formerly senior programmer, he will replace company co-founder Dr. Paul Tapper in overseeing the expanding programming team to ensure products are developed and delivered according to company strategy. He has more than 15 years of pro software engineering and technical management experience. JESSICA FIKE Chicago's BAM Studios has added producer Jessica Fike to its team. The Lancaster, PAnative graduated from Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma. Post grad, she moved to Los Angeles and began working for the audio facility LA Studios. After two years she moved to Chicago and spent the last six years as a manager at the Goodman Theater before BAM. AVI VAIDYA Shure has promoted senior VP of product development/CTO Avi Vaidya to executive VP of product development/CTO.
