The announce- ment follows years of him working as a lead assis- tant editor. Yablun's career started in Los Angeles, where he began editing for YouTube channels Smosh and Clevver. He later worked as an assistant colorist at Company 3 before returning to his editorial roots and joining Lost Planet. He has cut campaigns for Nike, American Express and Pinterest, as well as Major League Soccer's social-first campaign featuring Lionel Messi. His music video credits include Hank May's Morgana, while his feature work includes the film Portal to Hell, which premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival and is set for a limited theatrical release this summer. PAUL SALVINI Montreal's Rodeo FX recently welcomed Paul Salvini as its new chief technology officer. A respected inno- vator in computer graphics and a key figure behind the creation and evolution of SideFX's Houdini, Salvini brings a combination of deep technical expertise, entrepreneurial vision and industry insight. His arrival comes as Rodeo FX continues its investment in next-generation tools, scalable pipelines and forward-thinking R&D. As CTO at SideFX, he helped shape one of the VFX industry's most popu- lar and widely-adopted tools. When he left SideFX after more than 15 years, he served as CTO at Christie Digital before turning his attention full-time to helping startups as CEO of the Accelerator Centre and AVP/research at the University of Waterloo. He returned to the visual effects industry as CTO of Dneg, where he helped define the company's technology agenda. TINA MINTUS Tina Mintus has joined the editorial roster of The Den in New York City. She is an intuitive storyteller whose 30-year career includes collaborations with top agen- cies, brands, directors and producers. Mintus' career began in New York City, where she worked as an assistant editor, learning the old-school way and building a foundation from the ground up. During that time, she realized the power and responsibility an editor possesses when it comes to shaping a film and effectively telling a story. Over the years, she has developed long-standing relationships with agencies, directors and brands that trust her to bring concepts to life across any genre. Her credits include work with brands such as Lincoln, Mint Mobile, Subway, Rapyd, Revlon, Dove, L'Oréal, Olay, Target, Mercedes-Benz, American Express and JCPenney. FRITZ HEINZLE Panavision has appointed Fritz Heinzle vice presi- dent of sales, reporting to chief revenue officer Sherri Potter. He will be based out of Panavision's Woodland Hills, CA, headquarters, where he will support the company's global sales initiatives. Heinzle brings more than three decades of industry experience to his new role. Born in Austria, Heinzle studied automotive engineering before transitioning into the film industry as a camera technician on film sets. In 1996, he brought his hands-on, prob- lem-solving skills and passion for technical precision to Hollywood, joining Otto Nemenz International as a camera technician. In nearly 30 years with Otto Nemenz, Heinzle became the company's executive vice president. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and an associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers. SKY KIM, JACOB BOTTORFF Church Edit in Los Angeles has promoted assistant editors Sky Kim and Jacob Bottorff to its Next Gen roster. Kim's commercial portfolio includes work for Gucci, Adidas, McDonald's, Vogue, eBay, Ring and NFL Style. She has also worked on long-form projects, like Massive Assembly's film for Valorant's Game Changers Championship. On the narrative side, she recently served as assistant editor on Georgia Bernstein's Night Nurse, which premiered this year at Sundance. Bottorff's work spans brands such as TurboTax, Old Spice, Dunkin', Lego, Arby's and Huggies. A standout project is Rippling's "Mastermind" campaign, starring Tim Robinson, which premiered during this year's Super Bowl. CHRISTINA WISE, RACHEL MARISCAL CREASEY Atlanta's Bot VFX has appointed Christina Wise VP, revenue management, and Rachel Mariscal Creasey executive producer for the visual effects studio. Wise (top photo), who is based in LA, will oversee revenue management, business develop- ment, sales and marketing, as well as the produc- ers team. She previously served as VP of business development at Tippett Studio, and has also held leadership roles at Mels, Buf and MPC. She's been a member of the Television Academy's Special Visual Effects branch since 2025. Mariscal Creasey (bottom photo) brings over two decades of experience leading complex visual effects production across feature films, episodic television, commercials and interactive media. Prior to joining Bot VFX, she served as VFX producer at 20th Century Studios, and as a Los Angeles- based executive producer for WeFX. MICHAEL PHIPPS Cypress, CA's Christie, and its parent company Ushio Inc., announced the promotion of Michael Phipps to president and chief executive officer of Christie Digital Systems, Inc., and its subsidiaries. Christie is known for its digital cinema projectors, as well as its LED and LCD displays. Phipps succeeds Takabumi Asahi, who held the position for two years and continues as chief executive officer of Ushio Group, Inc. Phipps joined Christie in 2008, becoming chief financial officer in 2019, and president and COO in 2024. MAX ALEXANDER Deep Fusion, the Cardiff, Wales-based production company and technology developer, has appoint- ed Max Alexander VFX/AI lead, a newly-created position. He will head up DFX, a new division that's focused on providing generative AI services to third parties. Alexander comes to the studio following time at Vine FX, where he was head of 2D and composition. His career spans nearly 15 years and includes stints with Dneg, BlueBolt, Nvizable, Union, Lexhag, Electric Theatre Collective, Framestore and One of Us.
