WHAT IS CLOSED CAPTIONING? Closed captioning is a real-time transcript of what is being said onscreen for those who are deaf and hard of hearing. The SAG Awards has required closed captioning on all FYC digital screeners since the 24th show. WHAT IS AUDIO DESCRIPTION? Audio description is off-camera narration that describes the onscreen action happening between the dialogue, as well as describes character facial expressions and other visual details to enhance the viewing experience for those people who are blind and low vision.
