H
OLLYWOOD — While many post fa-
cilities are tr ying to wait out the lag-
ging economic state, Pacific Title &
Ar t Studio (www.pactitle.com) is undergoing a
major infrastructure upgrade that will improve
the quality and efficiency of its workflow, as
well as create a more ar tist-friendly environ-
ment and incorporate a more environmentally-
sustainable footprint.
The studio is making a $750K investment,
which includes upgrades to existing Autodesk
gear, and a three-year subscription program with
the software developer.The studio's Lustre 2009
Incinerator, Inferno and Smoke workstations are
all being upgraded to the latest hardware.
The combined hardware and software up-
grades will help lower operating costs at Pacific
Title by reducing render times and increasing re-
liability. The new gear will also require less space,
power usage and cooling needs.
