The company is also known for focusing on the artists that utilize their products, showcasing projects and offering frequent online webinars with tips and tricks for getting the most out of their creative tools. CGW connected with Paul Babb, Maxon's CMO, to learn more about the company's products and resources for artists. CGW: Tell us about Maxon One. What products and features does it include? Paul Babb: Maxon One is a collection of Superior Creative Tools for Artists — Cinema 4D, Forger, Red Giant, Redshi, ZBrush. Everything needed for 3D, VFX, motion design, AR/MR/VR, the Metaverse, all types of visualization, rendering, editing, compositing, and filmmaking. CGW: How does Maxon collaborate with artists to improve its products? Paul Babb: An open dialogue with customers gives us ample op- portunity to find out how we can improve workflows, enhance func- tionality, and explore new ways for artists to express themselves. CGW: How does Maxon showcase the work of artists that utilize its products? Paul Babb: I spend more of my marketing resources promoting the work our customers do than promoting our own products. For me, "the painting is far more interesting than the paintbrush." Every artist who got into this industry was inspired by work they've seen or an artist they admire. We bring artists into our events to present their work — not Maxon employees demoing products and features. We seek out and promote the work of our artists through customer stories, social media, etc. If a story seems mainstream newsworthy, we pitch it to press on behalf of our customer. When people are inspired by art, they will eventually want to find out how the artist did it. That's how they discover Maxon products. CGW: Where is Maxon headed in the future? Paul Babb: Constantly adding value and resources to Maxon One. Facilitating the success of our community. Inspiring the next gener- ation of artists to innovate and thrive.
