Yanez had a flourishing free- lance career prior to his signing, and brings a talent for upbeat messaging, humor, music and lifestyle work. Born in the Mexican border town of Ciudad Juárez, Yanez's post production career grew out of his time working as a freelance agency creative. In between agency assignments, he would write and direct his own short films and music videos. Clients and agencies soon began asking him to shoot and edit assign- ments for brands. Working now as a full-time editor, he's cut Hispanic and gen- eral market spots and campaigns for McDonald's, Tecate, Honda, MetroPCS, Bimbo, Coca-Cola, AutoZone, Huawei and Sling/Dish. DR. SOL MARGHZAR Dallas-based Stephen Arnold Music recently named Dr. Sol Marghzar director of audiology. Marghzar is a certified doctor of audiology and an expert in hearing and abnormal auditory perceptions, such as tinnitus. He will consult with the studio and its clients on how sound impacts human emotion and why the sci- ence of sound can be applied to sonic branding and musical compositions. Dr. Marghzar will also contribute articles and interviews, advising agencies and brands on how to more effectively use sound to connect with consumers. SÉAMUS MACCORMAIC Séamus MacCormaic has been named executive vice president and managing director of Streamland Media-United Kingdom. Streamland Media operates numerous post businesses around the globe, includ- ing Picture Shop, The Farm, Ghost VFX, Formosa Group and Picture Head. MacCormaic previously served as chief financial officer of The Farm. In his new role, he will continue to oversee operation of The Farm, which has loca- tions in London, Bristol and Manchester. RENÉE MASSÉ Butter Music and Sound recently promoted Renée Massé to executive producer out of New York, step- ping up from her previous role as senior producer. She will oversee all of Butter's New York City studio projects, including original music, sound design, music supervision, sync and beyond. The studio has collaborated on projects for Spotify, Supercell, Miller Lite, Little Caesars and Mercedes-Benz. Originally from Canada, Massé is a music industry veteran, with a decade of experience as a producer and music supervisor. Before joining Butter, she held a producer role at the boutique music and licensing company Shout It Out Loud Music. Massé was the driving force behind the production of Comedy Central's 2018 sonic rebrand, and has lent her expertise to projects for compa- nies such as Google Waymo, Asics and Olay. Previously, she served as music supervisor at Headroom. JEAN-CLÉMENT SORET, ELLORA SORET London's Company 3 has hired colorist Jean-Clément Soret, formerly MPC's global creative director of color grading. He will serve as senior colorist and brings credits in both features and commercial campaigns from a career that spans more than 25 years. A selection of Soret's top credits include HBO's Chernobyl, His Dark Materials (Seasons 1&2), Trainspotting 2, Slumdog Millionaire and 28 Days Later. Soret has received many awards for his work, including the British Arrows Craft Fellowship Award, which was presented by long-time collaborator Danny Boyle. He is also a six-time recipient of the Best Colorist award at the British Arrow Craft Awards. On the commercial side, his work has been honored with a Cannes Lions Grand Prix. Ellora Soret, formerly head of color production at MPC, will be joining Jean- Clément and the Company 3 team as executive producer. Ellora has been at the helm of world-class productions for Soret and other colorists across her 20-year career, and will be a driving force in Company 3 London's growth. OLIVIA BURKE New York City's Harbor has hired Olivia Burke as talent operations director, a newly-created role. She spent a decade with The Mill and has built a reputation as a skilled, creative talent acquisitions specialist, growing teams in the VFX, design, an- imation, live-action, editorial and virtual produc- tion spaces. Burke will scout, recruit, mentor and manage talent at all levels, as well as oversee hiring and onboarding in partnership with key internal stakeholders. She will also implement initiatives centered on enhancing company culture and driving creative and career opportunities throughout the organiza- tion. Most recently, Burke was US talent acquisitions lead for Technicolor's recruitment team, The Focus, where she represented The Mill and Moving Picture Company. DARREN RAE Cinelab London, the full-service film laboratory and digital dailies facility, has hired Darren Rae as head of color. Rae has spent more than 25 years collab- orating with directors and cinematographers on numerous blockbusters, independent features and long-form series. Rae began his career at Todd-AO, working with the photochemical and film laboratory team on film and TV productions. He most recently held roles of supervising dailies colorist at Co3 London, head of grading at Pinewood Studios and senior colorist at Harbor. Some of his credits include Spectre, Dumbo, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, Solo – A Star Wars Story, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, Rogue One – A Star Wars Story, The Mummy and Doctor Strange. He has also special- ized in the restoration and remastering of classic films.
