STORAGE www.postmagazine.com 25 POST SEPT/OCT 2021 CODEX BRIDGING GAP BETWEEN SET & POST SAN FRANCISCO — Codex MediaVault (mediavault.codex.online) storage solu- tions are designed to bridge the on-set to post gap. The MediaVault desktop D1200 delivers shared storage with high-end performance and connectivity in the field, with capacities up to 168TBs. For professional networking, the MediaVault rackmount R1200 has six 10GbE ports as standard and the op- tion to add four more 10GbE ports and additional 25/50/100GbE ports. The MediaVault rackmount R3600 has 36 disks and can be configured with a total capacity up to 504TB to handle projects of a larger scale. They are now avail- able for long-term rental or leasing via Dynamic (https://dynamicrentals.com). The Codex|Transfer Drive provides high performance in a secure data trans- port device. The Transfer Drive Dock combines the speed of two Thunderbolt 3 ports. The result is an external, hot-swappable desktop storage device that provides up to 5,400MB/s of bandwidth on a laptop. Connected to a Mac or PC using this dual-link Thunderbolt 3 solution, the advanced power management and thermal design of Transfer Drive means that performance throttling does not occur. The Transfer Drive 8TB model began shipping in October, and is sup- ported by long-term rental or leasing options from Dynamic. SONNET CARD ALLOWS FAST AND LARGE CAPACITY STORAGE GROWTH IRVINE, CA — Sonnet Technologies' (www.sonnettech. com) M.2 4x4 PCIe card (Silent) offers users an economical way to add ultra-fast, extra-large-capacity storage to their computers, particularly 2019 Mac Pro users. The Sonnet card, plus four 8TB M.2 NVMe SSDs configured in a RAID 0 set, deliver up to 344 percent the performance and 400 percent as much capacity as the maximum factory-installed 8TB storage option currently offered by Apple, but at a 46 percent lower cost per terabyte. With data transfer speeds up to 11,700MB/s, the MacOS-, Windows-, Linux- and Thunderbolt-compatible Sonnet solu- tion is well suited for large format video work. For pros who need to add internal storage to their com- puter where ultra high-speed data transfers are critical, con- sider an NVMe SSD-based upgrade. Individually, M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs offer high performance, but Sonnet's M.2 4x4 PCIe card enables users to mount up to four of them into a single x16 card slot and combine their performance. Pricing for the M.2 4x4 PCIe card is $399.99.
