M OT I O N P I CTU R E S O U N D E D I TO R S I 11 Liz Tucker "She owned Directors Sound—an ADR recording studio in Burbank, which most of us went to throughout our careers." O n Sunday, August 30, 2020, Liz Tucker (Algarin, Lavalle) transitioned gracefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and dear friends. She served 40 years as an IATSE member. She was well known throughout the fi lm industry. She helped many people get into the union. Our mother's awesomeness, we have always known. She has consistently been of service. Family and friends were her priority. She was forever extending a helping hand or listening to a fellow in need. With her own sobriety, she found her calling; her love of humanity took on focus and determination! Our hearts have been humbled and made proud by how many people credit her with saving their lives. What people need to know is they saved her life too; everyone she touched, touched her in turn. She will be missed by far more than can possibly be mentioned. She leaves behind her four children, 12 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, as well as her beloved cat, Mickey De Monte. In addition to her children, she is survived by her fi ve loving siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews. May her soul fl y home free. When you get the chance to sit it out or dance, she hopes you dance! Remember, it works if you work it! Her memorial will be a grand affair that will take place when we are able to gather together, dance, and hug. —VICTORIA ROSE SAMPSON MPSE WE WELCOME CONTRIBUTIONS TO PLEASE SEND SUBMISSIONS TO WAVELENGTH@MPSE.ORG
