PEOPLE www.postmagazine.com 31 POST NOV/DEC 2020 ROSS BAKER Ross Baker has joined London's Molinare as a senior colorist, bringing with him a resume that includes work on high-end dramas, comedies, documentaries and factual projects. Some of his credits include Roughcut TV's Inside Number 9, Merman's Motherland (Season 1 & 2), Nutopia's The World According to Jeff Goldblum and David Attenborough's Great Barrier Reef. Baker built a strong reputation as a head of grading and senior colorist at Halo, where he developed and trained fellow team members. He is also pas- sionate about working with upcoming, innovative technology. LISA HOUCK Lisa Houck has joined the executive team Uppercut in New York City, where she will serve as managing director. The East Coast editorial, finishing and VFX studio is headquartered in New York, and just opened an office in Atlanta. Houck has 20 years of experience in artist rep- resentation, business development, production and post production. She most recently operated the talent agency Salon Reps, which she launched in 2010. Houck has produced editorial, animation and visu- al effects for integrated campaigns with global brands and agencies. She also led the commercial division of Method Studios, overseeing the diversification of the company's capabilities with the growth of its live-action arm, Method Labs. SAMANTHA UBER Samantha Uber has joined New York City's Goldcrest Post as conform artist/manager of workflow services and senior finishing editor. She will work with film and television clients in designing customized workflows to manage projects from the set through delivery, and will also act as a hands-on finishing editor. Uber comes from Deluxe Entertainment, New York, where her credits included work on series such as High Maintenance, The Knick and Mr. Robot, and the features Hustlers, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and The Goldfinch. Uber has been a senior digital intermediate/online editor at Deluxe since 2013. Her background also includes three years at Technicolor and three years at PostWorks. ANNA LEE LA's Deluxe, the global provider of digital and cloud- based solutions to content production studios and dis- tributors, has appointed Anna Lee to the newly-creat- ed role of chief strategy officer. She will report directly to Deluxe chief executive officer Cyril Drabinsky and be responsible for developing, communicating, executing and sustaining strategic initiatives for the company. Lee joins Deluxe from Netflix, where she most recently served as head of global content services. She joined the company in 2008 as vice president, supply-chain development, and later became VP of content acquisition, adding the role of head of global screenings in 2019. GEORGE REX Creative production studio Taylor James in New York City has promoted George Rex to global chief oper- ating officer. He will work across all TJ offices — New York, Los Angeles, Mexico and London — ensuring the continuous growth of the business. Rex initially joined Taylor James from advertising technology platform Sovrn Holdings Inc., and has proven himself to be an experienced business executive with a track record of delivering increased shareholder value. At Sovrn, he helped launch the EMEA office, based out of London, and grew turnover 400 percent over a three-year period. He joined Taylor James nearly two years ago as a commercial and operations director, and quickly moved up the ranks, becoming chief operat- ing officer for America. He will relocate to New York from London and will be responsible for replicating the company's business growth in the US, UK and Latin America, while also continuing to oversee the day-to-day operational functions of the business. URI SCHUTZER Creative company The-Artery in New York City has signed director/interactive artist Uri Schutzer for international representation. Boasting an exten- sive background across advertising, music videos, interactive experiences and more, Schutzer brings a contemporary, cinematic filmmaking style marked by an artful eye, deft camera movements and special effects. His approach in the mixed reality space marries AR/VR projections and games with live performances. Schutzer collaborated with The-Artery recently on the CG music video Chosen by The Living Tombstone. He has directed commercials for compa- nies that include Coca-Cola, Unilever, Orange, Nestle and a wide range of fashion and cosmetic brands. His most notable pieces include the immersive SDG Dome and SGD VR Experience for PwC and the United Nations, as well as the interactive Keep Your Head Up music video for singer and songwriter Andy Grammer. BRYAN GODWIN Global VFX house Dneg has appointed executive visual effects supervisor Bryan Godwin to its Los Angeles team. The former founder and CEO of Shade VFX has more than a hundred shows to his credit, including recent productions such as the Charlie Kaufman film, I'm Thinking of Ending Things, Sonic the Hedgehog and the award-win- ning Joker. In his new role, Godwin will play a leading part in business development and client outreach in North America, as well as work with the studio's global cre- ative team to provide guidance, oversight and support on the development of current and upcoming projects. Godwin will also work closely with the studio's virtual production team, which has delivered services for projects that include Denis Villeneuve's Dune and Kenneth Branagh's Death on the Nile. The service is seeing increased demand as a solution to help content creators overcome the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on production.
