He was generous and giving of himself, loving, fun, always smiling and a full-of-life friend. He lost his battle with the coronavirus on April 8 in Atlanta, Georgia He was a true legend, working with Ava DuVernay, Tyler Perry, Viola Davis, Lee Daniels, and Jeffrey Wright. Brother Ross worked on numerous feature films, includ- ing Tyler Perry projects Madea Goes to Jail, Meet the Browns, The Family That Preys and Oscar-winning Vice as Tyler Perry's per- sonal hair stylist. In 2005, Charles was a Primetime Emmy nominee for Outstanding Hairstyling for Lackawanna Blues. Director Ava DuVernay shared love on Charles' Instagram and Tyler Perry also shared a post remembering Charles's skill, hard work and dedication. Countless people that Charles has touched in both Local 706 and Local 798 will remember him for his knowledge and kindness to cast and crew members on set, and his salon stylists in Atlanta. "God bless you and keep you in His Kingdom forever. You lit up every room you entered and every path you crossed," DuVernay said. "Thank you for your warmth and your wisdom and your wonderful spirit. Please watch over us and keep loving us. We will keep loving you and will never forget you. Your memory will be our blessing." In Memoriam The attending nurse mentioned how remark- able it was that everyone there sounded like a family and treated Joe as a brother. But we were all more than just brothers and sisters of Local 706—we were truly an extended family who cared for each other. –Bradley Look
