We remember those we've lost due to the coronavirus. CHARLIE HOLLIDAY, an actor, unionist and San Francisco- Northern California Local member, passed away Oct. 18 at the age of 80. A talented actor with an expressive face and signature wink, Charlie Holliday amassed over 70 television and theatrical credits and dozens of national and regional commercials over his career. Holliday advocated passionately for the working actor for over 40 years, serving on the local's SAG Council and AFTRA Board, as well as a member of the SAG-AFTRA San Francisco-Northern California Local Board. He also participated on numerous local and national committees, including as an AFTRA convention delegate. He was an especially strong proponent of independent film contracts, from their infancy to their most recent updates, and championed coverage of production at all budget levels while providing fellow members more opportunities to creatively collaborate with local producers. He also generously shared his knowledge and experience with young performers and regularly offered workshops and classes in Sacramento and beyond. Holliday's legacy and decades of service will continue to inspire the members he supported.
