Things Fall Apart Two years into the indbergh administration, the situation is grim for the Levins and other ewish families, with violence against ews erupting across the country. ighting back against Lindbergh and Bengelsdorf over the airwaves is Walter Winchell, who commanded a radio audience of millions. utraged by indbergh, he launches a campaign for president. or a ew ersey rally, I designed a full set of graphics inspired by a oosevelt campaign pin. ins and posters were fabricated, along with a large banner that hung above the stage. ompleting the package was a Winchell sound truck. The violence soon reaches Weeuahic. A damaged version of the commercial street was mounted under Randall ichards' supervision. rominent is the barber shop featured in episode two is now heavily damaged, its graphics reworked for a layout of broken glass. The episode six fi nale fi nds erman and andy evin taking a road trip to Kentucky to retrieve their former neighbor elma Wishnow's young son eldon. elma had been relocated via the omestead 2 program and has been murdered by the KKK. A group of rural storefronts, and advertising in paper and metal were prepared for the various locations a set of multistate road signs completed the package. The Craft Comes Into Its Own It was unheard of to have a show with a graphics department of fi ve and more, but The Plot Against America was no ordinary proect. The scope of what was required was bigger than any show I've ever experienced. I think all of us who worked on this series will agree it was like no other. I'm grateful that the production understood what it was going to take to get the ob done, and gave their support throughout, ensuring we had the personnel needed to take it all on.
