Midnight Sun
by Ken Brooker
Canada's Far North is a study in contrasts. The environment
can be rugged, beautiful and unforgiving. Filled with seemingly endless boreal
forests, more lakes that you can ever count, an expansive land skinned with granite
and mountain ranges, it's a place few people go to visit and even fewer go to
live. But north of the 60th Parallel, lies a territory rich in history, endowed with
extraordinary beauty, and accessible all within a stone's throw of Yellowknife. Like
the diamonds hiding beneath its surface, the people who inhabit the Northwest
Territories (NWT) are warm, innovative and eager to show you what makes their
li le corner of the world shine.
