17 / SAG-AFTRA SPECIAL ISSUE 2020 / sagaftra.org In March 2019, the SAG Awards randomly selected 2,500 active members to comprise the Film Nominating Committee and another 2,500 members to make up the Television Nominating Committee. Starting in May and continuingthrough early December, these two committees reviewed film and television projects submitted for consideration and voted for their favorites, resulting in the nominees listed on your ballot. Actor ® nominations for the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced on Dec. 11 at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood by America Ferrera and Danai Gurira, an event that was carried live on tntdrama.com/sagawards, truTV.com and sagawards.org. Nominees for outstanding action performances by TV and film stunt ensembles were announced by SAG Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams and SAG Awards Committee member Elizabeth McLaughlin. Final Voting Voting opened Dec. 17. All active SAG-AFTRA members who paid their November 2019 dues by Monday, Dec. 2, are eligible to vote for the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards recipients. You must be an eligible voter to receive the voting instructions postcard and For Your Consideration offers from the studios and networks.
